Emergency Room Physician John Fosbinder

A board-certified emergency physician, Dr. John “Joe” Fosbinder holds a bachelor of arts in biology from Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, and a doctor of osteopathic medicine from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. After graduating from medical school in 2001, Dr. John J. Fosbinder completed both an internship and a residency with a focus on emergency medicine at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Ultimately settling in California, Dr. John J. Fosbinder practiced in the emergency departments of Mercy Hospital in Bakersfield, John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Indio, and Sierra View District Hospital in Porterville. He also served Kennedy Memorial as its medical director and emergency department chairman.

In 2009, Dr. Joe Fosbinder returned to Bakersfield and assumed his current role at Bakersfield Heart Hospital. When he isn’t busy at the hospital, he teaches as an adjunct assistant professor at the A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a fellowship in anti-aging and regenerative medicine in the early 2010s.
